In 1995, the race was on for Sprint’s nationwide network buildout in all of the major metropolitan areas throughout the country. CIS was awarded a major site acquisition and construction contract from Sprint to develop and deliver a high volume of sites throughout Missouri and Illinois.
With thousands of sites in the various stages of development in all the major metro areas, CIS pushed through in record time to develop and construct the very first Sprint PCS site in the nation. The award that was presented to CIS for this feat still hangs on our wall to this day.
After developing that site, CIS continued to deliver the remainder of their sites on time and on budget, ultimately leading to a successful nationwide launch for Sprint.
